Global Issue Article Rough Draft Due Monday, April 16 (Google Classroom).
Article requirements:
-At least 500 words
-A title and byline
-12 pt font
-Include at least 1 quote from "Words of Hope"
-Use at least 1 resource from "Resources" handout (if applicable)
-Proper capitalization, punctuation and spelling
HOMEWORK:
What are 10 simple social justice actions you can take this very week? What can you do to ease the world's sufferings? Complete your list in Google Classroom. Due beginning of class on Wednesday, April 18.

Read your Achieve3000 article silently for 10 minutes. Circle unfamiliar words. Underline key ideas.

After you finish your lists, look at the first column marked 0-5. You must come up with a number of how important the issue is, with 5 being the highest.
To help get consensus:
One finger, not important
Five fingers, very important
Add the fingers and divide by four, you have consensus
Step 3
In the second 0-5 column, write a number for how much you think you know about this topic.
Step 4
In the last column, put a number for what you are doing about the issue.
Step 5
Words of Hope and Resource
-Write an article on one of the issues you wrote in your handout. Use the Words of Hope and Resources handouts to help you get started!
